For the second year running, Valladolid’s Acera de Recoletos will become the main gathering place for lovers of wine, fine dining in miniature and music, at the ‘Vino + Tapas’ event. An event that will once again cement the city’s status as a leading national and international destination for food and wine, as presented today by the Mayor of Valladolid, Jesús Julio Carnero, accompanied by the Councillor for Tourism, Events and City Branding, Blanca Jiménez, the President of the Rueda Designation of Origin, representing the five Designations of Origin, Carlos Yllera, and David Miranda, a member of the Board of Directors of the Valladolid Provincial Association of Hospitality Entrepreneurs and a participant in ‘Vino + Tapas’.
The event will take place from 15 to 17 May 2026 as part of the programme for the San Pedro Regalado Festival, offering a unique experience for all audiences. ‘Vino + Tapas’ will feature a wide selection of quality wines, nationally and internationally award-winning tapas, a carefully curated programme of free live music, and a series of tastings led by the province’s five Designations of Origin.
‘Wine + Tapas’ will allow attendees to enjoy the wine and food offerings in two ways. Firstly, by purchasing a passport, available from today on the website info.valladolid.es and also at the ticket offices set up during the event. This passport will cost 15 euros and will be available in two versions, national and international, both of which include three tapas, two wine tickets, a stew, a glass and a glass holder. Alternatively, those who wish to do so may opt to purchase individual tickets at a price of 3.5 euros for tapas, 2 euros for wine and must, and 1 euro for water. One wine ticket will be equivalent to a glass of young wine, and two wine tickets to a glass of crianza wine.
Wine and experiences from Valladolid’s five Designations of Origin
The wine section will be one of the main highlights of the event, featuring 67 wineries from the five Designations of Origin in the province of Valladolid: Cigales, León, Ribera del Duero, Rueda and Toro. Each will offer a selection of wines, allowing attendees to design their own tasting journey and discover the region’s rich wine heritage.
In addition, the Designations of Origin will organise tastings inside the Tourist Office on Acera de Recoletos, the details of which will be announced shortly, thereby expanding the range of wine-related experiences on offer.
Award-winning tapas: national and international excellence
The culinary offering will feature six top-class dishes, comprising the winning entries from the ‘World Tapas Championship, City of Valladolid’ and the ‘National Pinchos and Tapas Competition, City of Valladolid’ in the 2025 edition. The global passport will include the creations ‘Humo bajo la tapa’ from the Al Dente Enoteca restaurant in Australia, twinned with El Corregidor; ‘Esmeralda’ from the Fresh & Aged Italian steak house in Taiwan, twinned with the Sala 20 restaurant; and ‘La reina del mar’ from Brasserie Touch in Norway, twinned with Restaurante Originario.
Meanwhile, the national passport will feature the competition-winning tapa ‘Milpa’ from Habanero Taquería in Valladolid, ‘Tronko Porko’ from the Can Ros restaurant in Burriana, Castellón, twinned with Moka, and ‘Perdiz, maíz y escabeche’ from the El Mirador de la Mancha restaurant in Ciudad Real, twinned with Bar Las Kubas.
